According to reports in Turkey, as cited by Sport Witness, West Ham United have reportedly made an offer to sign Stuttgart’s 19-year-old centre-back Ozan Kabak.
The Turkish player signed for the German side earlier this year in the January transfer window for a fee in the region of £10 million and is believed to have a release clause closer to £13.2 million.
Kabak was one of the few bright lights in what was a disappointing season for Stuttgart as the German side were relegated to the second division.
He appeared 15 times in the Bundesliga during the second half of last season, scoring three times for the club. The Turkish defender was named Bundesliga Rookie of the Season for the 2018/2019 season, a sign of how highly he is rated.
The Hammers will have some competition on their hands for the youngster as European giants AC Milan and Bayern Munich are also reportedly interested in Kabak.
The centre-back will want to play regular first-team football so a move to West Ham might be the best option for Kabak, given that he may be earmarked as a potential replacement for the Manchester United-linked Issa Diop.
