West Ham have already made their first signing of the 2019/20 season this week.
The club have confirmed that Spanish goalkeeper Roberto is set to join the club at the start of July upon the expiry of his contract with Espanyol.
Manuel Pellegrini is already shaping his squad in order to push on next season and potentially strive for a top-seven finish – with the hopes of landing a Europa League spot for the 2020/21 campaign.
The Hammers finished 10th in the Premier League last season, in Pellegrini’s first year in charge, as they ended up on 52 points.
7th-placed Wolves ended the campaign five points ahead of West Ham, meaning that Pellegrini’s side will still be well in the race for a European place.
