Zabaleta’s previous deal was due to expire this summer, but the club have decided to tie him down for another season.

The Argentine international has been Manuel Pellegrini’s first-choice right-back this season, impressing in the back four.
He has made 25 appearances in the Premier League, with Ryan Fredericks playing at times in his absence.
The 34-year-old joined West Ham in 2017 and has made 65 appearances in all competitions for the club since his exit from Manchester City – where he had won a Premier League title under Manuel Pellegrini.
