West Ham United striker Andy Carroll has had surgery on his ankle and is set to be out for the remainder of the season, according to a report on the Daily Mail.
That subsequently means that his West Ham career is over because his current contract expires at the end of this season.

The Hammers are understood to have no intention of offering him a new deal and he will be a free agent when this season ends.
The Englishman needed surgery on an ankle problem which was bothering him for a long time and that has effectively ended his West Ham career.
Carroll will now turn his focus to recovering and will be on the hunt for a new club.
It is understood that West Ham are yet to officially tell Carroll that they have no intention of extending his deal.
Manager Manuel Pellegrini will already have some forwards on his transfer wishlist ahead of what is expected to be a busy window for the Hammers.
