West Ham United manager Manuel Pellegrini has admitted that he is not sure whether Jack Wilshere will play for the Hammers again this season.
As reported on the Evening Standard, Wilshere only started four Premier League matches before suffering ankle problems.
His last appearance was in December against Newcastle but since then, he has suffered another injury setback which has plunged the remainder of his season in doubt.
Pellegrini said:
We must wait for Jack when he comes back and how he feels. Will he feature again this season? Just resting a couple of months will not be easy for him to recover his best shape as a player but the important thing for me is that he must feel that he is OK, has no pain in his ankle.
After that, we will see what happens with him.
Wilshere has been plagued with injuries throughout his career and West Ham may need to recruit more midfielders in the summer.
