West Ham manager Manuel Pellegrini insists that he will not rush midfielder Manuel Lanzini back into the starting line-up.
Lanzini made his long-awaited return to first-team action last Friday, as he came off the bench for the final 15 minutes of the 3-1 win over Fulham.
He played a part in the build-up to Michail Antonio’s goal and looked sharp in his cameo on the pitch.
However, Pellegrini is being careful to manage his minutes in order to prevent any further injury problems for the Argentine.
Lanzini suffered cruciate ligament damage last summer, whilst training with Argentina ahead of the World Cup, and there were concerns that he could miss the entire season.

Speaking to The Evening Standard, Lanzini said this:
We must be careful with him.
He did very well in his 15 minutes and the important thing was that he was not afraid and remembering his knee so we will see what the best way is to get minutes in every game.
You must be careful when you give more minutes.
The 26-year-old, Lanzini, has scored 20 goals in 100 appearances for West Ham since joining the club, initially on loan, from Al Jazira Club in 2015.
