West Ham have been given a boost ahead of their clash with Manchester City on Wednesday, with Aymeric Laporte and Fernandinho set to miss out.
Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola says that the pair will both be out for a number of weeks, which includes their game against West Ham this week at The Etihad.
Laporte and Fernandinho both suffered injuries against Chelsea in the League Cup final on Sunday, with Manchester City winning the first trophy of the season on penalties.
As quoted by Football London, Guardiola said this:
Fernandinho and Laporte will be some weeks out.

This will come as good news to West Ham, who will be looking to upset the reigning Premier League champions on Manuel Pellegrini’s first return to The Etihad since he left Manchester City.
West Ham are currently 9th in the Premier League table, four points behind 7th-placed Watford, and have only won one of their last six games in all competitions.
