West Ham handed Javier Hernandez injury boost

West Ham United striker Javier Hernandez has returned to full training ahead of the Hammers’ clash with Bournemouth at the weekend, football.london reports.

The Mexico international has been sidelined with a back injury and hamstring troubles for almost a month, last featuring against Watford at the end of December.

It is believed that Hernandez has agreed personal terms over a loan move to Valencia, however, the Hammers appear set on their stance to not loan any of their players out this window.

The striker has five goals to his name so far this season but has consistently struggled with his fitness and subsequently failed to get regular minutes under new boss Manuel Pellegrini.

Pellegrini’s side have struggled to score goals in recent weeks due to the absence of the Mexican, though they did manage to claim a surprise 1-0 victory over Arsenal at the weekend thanks to Declan Rice.

Hernandez’s return to training though will be a huge boost for the squad ahead of their mid-table clash with Bournemouth at the Vitality Stadium this weekend.
