West Ham spent big over the summer to sign the likes of Felipe Anderson and Andriy Yarmolenko, who will both undoubtedly be on very competitive wages following their moves to the Premier League.

The revelations also follow the rumours surrounding Declan Rice’s future, with the youngster reportedly turning down a big-money contract offer.

The Hammers face the prospect of losing the player for nothing with the likes of Manchester United, Manchester City and Spurs all interested in his services.

West Ham supporters will be hoping that the club’s league position can soon marry up with that of their wage bill.
