Manchester United are considering a £50 million bid to sign West Ham’s Marko Arnautovic in January.
The Daily Mail reports that Jose Mourinho is keen to step up his interest in the Austrian star in a bid to boost the club’s push for a place in the top four.
United have been heavily linked with January moves to sign both Arnautovic and Issa Diop, with both players impressing under Manuel Pellegrini this season.
Arnautovic has emerged as West Ham’s talisman under both Pellegrini and David Moyes recently, with his performances not going unnoticed by those at the top of the Premier League table.

The former Stoke man is a player that Mourinho knows well, having worked with him during his time at Inter.
The striker himself has played down any suggestions that he could be on the move in the near future, but should United step up their interest the Hammers could face a fight to keep hold of him beyond January.
