West Ham slumped to another defeat this afternoon, losing 3-1 to Unai Emery’s Arsenal.
This despite leading the game through Marko Arnautovic, who netted for the Hammers in the second half.
This wasn’t to last though, with a Nacho Monreal equaliser, followed by a Issa Diop own goal led to a West Ham defeat. Danny Welbeck added a third in stoppage time.
Here is how we rated the West Ham side today.
Lukas Fabianski – 6
Provided a good save to stop Mkhitaryan, and couldn’t do anything to stop the goals. Provided some decent stops later.
Ryan Fredericks – 8
One of the best players on the pitch for West Ham. Recovered from a shambolic debut.
Fabian Balbuena – 6
Much better display than his recent ones.
Issa Diop – 6
Not a bad debut, even with the own goal. But the mistake did cost West Ham.
Arthur Masuaku – 7
Caused Bellerin problems but the Spaniard got the better of him for the goal.
Carlos Sanchez – 7
Solid. Did his job with little fuss and looked better than Noble.
Jack Wilshere – 5
Poor return to the Emirates, and looked nowhere near the standard expected of him.
Robert Snodgrass – 6
Missed a late chance in the first half and will be annoyed that he didn’t affect the game more.
Michail Antonio – 6
Had the beatings of Bellerin from the 1st minute. Lacked a finishing touch.

Marko Arnautovic- 7
Scored again in his typical fashion. His knock will be a concern though.
Subs
Javier Hernandez – 5
Lucas Perez – 5
Andriy Yarmolenko – 5
