Xherdan Shaqiri could have easily been lining up for West Ham this season according to reports in Switzerland.
The Swiss winger made the move to Anfield from relegated Stoke City this Summer, but reports in his home country suggest that the midfielder could have moved to West Ham.

Reports from Blick suggest that West Ham were one of a number of teams looking at a deal for Shaqiri, with Manchester United and Southampton also looking at the Swiss midfielder.
Shaqiri was a key player for Stoke, who couldn’t avoid the drop to the Championship last season. The midfielder was certain to leave the Potters after their relegation, especially after having another good World Cup.
West Ham reportedly failed in their bid to sign the midfielder, who chose a move to Anfield instead and lined up against the Hammers on the bench for opening day thrashing of West Ham last weekend.
