Fulham are in pole position to sign Swansea’s Alfie Mawson, a reported West Ham target, according to ESPN FC.
The Swansea defender is set to leave the club after being relegated from the Premier League last season with the Swans, with an instant return with Fulham on the cards.
Mawson had been a West Ham target. However, Fulham are reportedly ready to sign the defender for over £25 million, with Slavisa Jokanovic ready to spend more money to strengthen his squad for the Premier League.

The defender is recovering from a knee injury which saw him miss England’s 2018 World Cup campaign. Mawson was called up for Gareth Southgate’s squad for the friendlies just before the World Cup against Italy and the Netherlands.
However, West Ham are looking likely to miss out on the defender, who could choose a move to Craven Cottage over a switch to the Olympic Stadium.
