West Ham are stepping up their interest in Barcelona midfielder Rafinha Alcântara, according to sources in Italy.
The 25-year old Brazilian midfielder, known simply as Rafinha, spent last season on loan with Inter Milan in Italy’s Serie A, and despite the Nerazzurri’s desire to sign the midfielder permanently, West Ham may have a temporary advantage.
That is according to FC Inter News, who claim that for budgetary reasons, Inter are being prevented from making a move just yet, which has alerted the attention of English clubs to make a move.

West Ham and fellow London outfit Arsenal are believed to have made contact with Barcelona over striking a potential deal, and although Rafinha would prefer to re-sign for Inter, he isn’t willing to hold out too long if they can’t make a move.
Rafinha made 17 Serie A appearances for Inter this season, scoring twice and assisting three goals in the process as the club finished fourth ahead of Lazio and city rivals AC Milan.
