David Moyes secured his first win as West Ham manager as he watched his side beat Chelsea 1-0 at the Olympic Stadium on Saturday.
The Hammers were expected to struggle against the Premier League champions, but were far the better team in the lunchtime kick-off.
Moyes had his side playing forward-thinking, counter-attacking football and reaped the rewards.
The first clear-cut chance of the game fell to West Ham, and they took it. Marco Arnuatovic played a neat one-two with Manuel Lanzini before opening up his body and curling the ball into the bottom left corner of Thibaut Courtois’ net.
Adrian was picked ahead of England number one Joe Hart and made a number of crucial saves to claim the three points and a clean sheet.
The Spanish keeper impressed against Manchester City and again today, as Hart looks to have lost his place in the side.
