After last weeks dismal showing against Brighton, many thought that perhaps the Hammers needed a change of manager to see a change of fortunes on the pitch, but Wednesday night’s spirited display against Tottenham in the Carabao Cup has suggested otherwise.
The players are still clearly playing for the manager and now Slaven Bilic has a conundrum: how many changes, if any, does he make to the team for tomorrow’s huge bottom of the table scrap with Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park.
Bilic made nine changes at Wembley to the team that lost against Brighton and it paid off for him, but it could be too big of an ask to trot out the same eleven on the back of just two days rest.
Either way, it may be a bit early to call a game a six-pointer but for Bilic’s future, he simply cannot afford anything less than three points. Here’s our predicted XI.
