In an article from The Mirror, it has been rumoured that West Ham are in talks with Bayer Leverkusen over a £13m move for Javier Hernadez.
Javier Hernadez only has a year left on his contract at Leverkusen, which has a £13m release clause, which seems ridiculously cheap for a player of his kind.
This would be a brilliant signing for The Hammers, who have been looking to solve their striker crisis for some time now and Hernandez will solve that problem.
The 29-year-old has plenty of experience for big clubs such as Manchester United, Real Madrid and Bayer Leverkusen and has also shown his worth on the international stage with Mexico.
With Andy Carroll and Diafra Sakho being linked with a move away from the London Stadium, Chicharito could be a direct replacement for Diafra Sakho for a poacher role and Olivier Giroud, who has been heavily linked with a move to West Ham, could replace Andy Carroll in that target man role.
Hernandez scored 11 and assisted three for Bayer Leverkusen last season, totalling a goal every 165 minutes which isn’t too bad when you consider that Leverkusen had a very tough season last season.
