West Ham’s defensive capabilities have been questioned in recent weeks, and rightly so, but they put on an excellent spell at the back as they drew 0-0 with Everton on Saturday afternoon.
Whilst the Hammers couldn’t find a way to break down their opponents, they did a good job keeping the back door closed. Everton, led by their talismanic striker Romelu Lukaku, have been scoring a lot of goals in recent weeks, so keeping a clean sheet against them is something that West Ham’s fans and players should be most pleased with.
Of course, the inability to turn any of the chances created into goals will annoy Slaven Bilic, but he’ll be encouraged by the defending.
