West Ham go into their final eight games of the season more banged and bruises than pretty much every other club in the Premier League.
With a staggering seven members of the first-team squad out injured currently, the third most in the division, the odds are certainly stacked against the Hammers.
We start with Pedro Obiang who suffered a severe high ankle sprain last time out against Leicester. He’s undergone successful surgery on the injury and the club are hopefully he’ll be back at 100% in time for pre-season – meaning his season is over.
Winston Reid is also facing at least another month on the sidelines following a groin tear during the Leicester match. It did not require surgery and he’ll undergo rehab in the next few weeks.
Michail Antonio was tough and go to be available for tomorrow’s trip to Hull but Slaven Bilic has decided to hold out the England winger for at least one more match following a hamstring strain.
Striker Diafra Sakho has returned to first-team training and reportedly begged Bilic to pick him for tomorrow’s game but the Senegalese international will not be risked having not played since November. He could return next weekend.
Mark Noble has also returned to training after being rested prior to the international break and will likely come straight back into the side following Obiang’s injury.
Angelo Ogbonna is still rehabbing from his knee surgery in January and could be back in training next month. Gohan Tore is our other long-term absentee.
With a slew of injuries to deal with, Bilic won’t have many options to pick from tomorrow so here’s one last look at our predicted XI.
