The FA Cup third round would normally represent an opportunity for rest-bite from the rigours of the weekly Premier League football.
However, the draw has not been kind to the Hammers this season.
While many of us would love a tie against a lowly opposition, we’ve been handed a meeting with Manchester City for a place in the fourth round. At least we’re at home.
The Hammers are coming off the back of successive league defeats, although it could be argued that the team’s overall performances have improved in recent weeks, while City are back in the Top 4 after their win over Burnley – their fourth win in their last five games.
Both managers have stated in their pre-game press conferences that they will be fielding strong sides in the competition as they look to secure some silverware.
With that in mind, here is our predicted XI for West Ham this evening.
