On a night where the entire bottom five all lost, it was imperative that West Ham picked up all three points when they took on Burnley on Wednesday evening.
Despite missing a late first-half penalty, Mark Noble tucked home the rebound which proved to be enough for the Hammers to pick up their first win in the Premier League since October 22nd, despite a Burnley onslaught in the second half.
Slaven Bilic’s men showed great resiliency as they hung onto all three points in the second half with the win elevating them to 15th in the table.
Not out of the woods yet in terms of the relegation scrap, but yesterday’s win was exactly what West Ham needed going into this four-game stretch against teams in and around them at the wrong end of the table.
