West Ham forward Jonathan Calleri has revealed he never actually wanted to move to West Ham, according to an exclusive by Sport Witness.
The Argentinian forward joined the Hammers on loan earlier this year but is reportedly unhappy with his lack of game time under manager Slaven Bilic.
According to Sport Witness, Calleri’s first choice was Spanish side Sevilla. Failing that, he was keen for a move to the Serie A and Inter Milan. That did not materialise.
West Ham turned out to be his final European option and thus settled for the move.

He has, to this point, made nine appearances for the Hammers, but hasn’t managed to register a goal or assist.
Whether Bilic himself wanted Calleri is unclear, with many fans thinking he wasn’t who the Croatian manager was courting.
But, during a summer of failed attempts to bring new players to the club, Calleri may have represented availability rather than suitability.

The 23-year-old is now said to be pushing for another move in January as he looks to get game time and make his mark in Europe.
As per Sport Witness, the striker now has an EU passport, thus increasing his chances of another move elsewhere in Europe.
What ensues from here remains to be seen, but what is clear is that, along with the signing of Simone Zaza, Calleri appears to be a strange and currently uninspiring signing.
Bilic’s side look painfully short on goals, with just 11 scored this campaign. Only four clubs have worse.
