Peruvian international striker Jefferson Farfan has just become a free agent after leaving United Arab Emirates side Al Jazira.
The 31-year-old still had two years left on his contract in the UAE but was able to leave after Al Jazira allegedly breached part of the deal.
West Ham have struggled for goals from their strikers this season. Andy Carroll has been injured once again, as have Diafra Sakho and Jonathan Calleri, whilst new signing Simone Zaza has struggled up to this point.
For these reasons, West Ham should at least take a look at Farfan, even if it is just on a trial.

Farzan is also comfortable playing as a winger and it’s clear to see that he could fit into Slaven Bilic’s system pretty easily.
When a team is struggling, adding new blood to the squad can give the players a lift. Some will know they have to raise their games whilst others who may not have been playing can see that the manager is looking for solutions and thus, they should work harder in training too.
Farzan was always an exciting player and personally, I think it’d be foolish not to at least offer him a trial to see what he still has left in the tank.
