West Ham United haven’t had the best of starts to their season – they have amassed just three points so far in the Premier League, leaving them behind the likes of Hull City, Burnley and Swansea City.
One remedy to this could be wise investment in the January transfer window, which could certainly be a possibility. West Ham were among a long list of teams whose scouts were present at Tuesday’s Champions League game between Benfica and Besiktas, according to the Express.
One player who will have caught the eye, regardless of whether or not scouts were specifically watching him, was Talisca. The Brazilian attacking midfielder scored a last-gasp equaliser for Besiktas, and he plays for the Turkish club on loan from opponents Benfica.

Oguzhan Ozyakup is another Besiktas player the Hammers may be keen on – he was targeted by West Ham, Arsenal and Manchester United this summer and a move to the Premier League could certainly be on the cards in the near future.
