In the first Premier League game at the London Stadium, it didn’t really live up to our expectations.
Despite really controlling proceedings, West Ham struggled to break down Bournemouth for 86 minutes until Gokhan Tore’s stood-up cross found a leaping Michail Antonio at the far post which he calmly headed home.
The Hammers were handed a one-man advantage for the final quarter of an hour after Harry Arter was given his marching orders following a second booking.
It wasn’t pretty, but it was a win and all three points for West Ham, just what they needed after two dismal displays against Chelsea and Astra Giurgiu earlier in the week.
