Fiorentina seem keen to complete a deal for West Ham midfielder Pedro Obiang according to Gianluca Di Marzio, and are ready to offer £5 million for the holding midfielder. The Serie A side have already approached the Spaniard about taking him back to Italy, but still need an agreement with The Hammers before they can lure the former Sampdoria man in.
Obiang played 24 times in the Premier League last year – although more often than not he came off the bench – and it looks like West Ham are ready to let him leave and return to Italy before the transfer window closes at the end of the month. This comes despite his expression that he wants to stay at the club and fight for a place in the team at the Olympic Stadium. However, first team assurances could persuade him to accept a move away and back to Serie A.

Torino are also thought to be interested along with Fiorentina, and a move is looking more likely to be finalised by deadline day. The Turin club’s interest could be dependent on progress in the Europa League, and they could make a move should The Hammers be knocked out at the play-off stage.
The 24-year-old completed his move to East London just over 12 months ago, for a fee of €6 million. A £5m return to the same league would represent a marginal loss on the player, but would open up some more money for the final weeks of the transfer window.
