West Ham’s season kicks off tomorrow in the Europa League third qualifying round away at Slovenian minnows NK Domzale.
The Hammers were knocked out at this stage of the competition last season to Astra Giurgiu and fielded a weak squad in doing so to prepare the key members of the squad adequately for the Premier League season.
This time around West Ham aren’t taking the competition so lightly. It’s a route into the Champions League for starters. It’s a revenue stream for the club and it’s a lure for top players.
Slaven Bilic has confirmed that he will field the strongest possible team that he and his coaching staff deem fit enough to play the full 90 minutes and even hinted at the possibility of handing Havard Nordtveit, Sofiane Feghouli and Gokhan Tore their West Ham debuts.
So how will the Hammers line-up tomorrow evening? We’ve picked out the XI who we think will be given the nod to start tomorrow’s game and the substitutes who could be called upon.
