West Ham face tough competition from both Watford and Napoli for the signature of Juventus and Argentina star, Roberto Pereyra.
West Ham are believed to have made a bid of £15 million for Pereyra in May, but the Argentinian play-maker could be persuaded to stay in Italy due to Napoli’s ability to grant him Champions League Football.
After impressing at Italian side Udinese, Pereyra joined Juventus on loan in 2014 and later made the deal permanent in 2015. During his spell in Turin, Pereyra made 62 appearances for Juventus, notching up 6 goals in the process. Signing a player of Pereyra’s calibre would be a serious sign of intent from the Hammers, who can now offer the player European football in the Europa League.

The former River Plate man is now looking for an exit from Juventus after falling down the pecking order after being out injured for three months. West Ham are in a good position to win the Argentine’s signature due to their impressive performances last season, but Napoli could scupper the move with the Nerazzurri capable of offering Pereyra Champions League football and opportunity to stay in Italy.
