West Ham missed the chance to close the gap on the top four after an injury time equaliser from the spot by Leonardo Ulloa earned Leicester City a point.
In a game full of incidents, West Ham fell behind inside 20 minutes when Jamie Vardy finished off a breakaway move.
However, the England striker’s day got a lot worse from that point on. He was sent off just 10 minutes into the second half for picking up a second yellow card for diving when he tangled with Angelo Ogbonna.
West Ham were awarded a penalty in the 84th minute when referee Jon Moss gave a foul against Wes Morgan for pulling back Winston Reid at a corner.
Andy Carroll scored and just a few minutes later, West Ham were in front thanks to a lovely strike from Aaron Cresswell.
The Hammers looked to heading towards all three points but in injury time, Carroll was adjudged to have fouled Jeff Schlupp in the area and Moss awarded a penalty, with Ulloa converted, meaning the game finished all square.
We asked the fans to vote on who the best West Ham players were in the match using our duel feature.
Our Duel feature presented the fans with two players and they selected which of the two they thought had a better game. We went through all of the players in a ‘winner stays on’ type vote.
