West Ham have been handed a boost in their pursuit of Turkish international winger Gokhan Tore, with Besiktas vice-president Ahmet Nur Cebi conceding they would sell one of their prized assets for “the right price”, according to talkSPORT.
Tore, who played under current Hammers boss Slaven Bilic at Besiktas, is valued by his club at around €30m, or approximately £24m, and Cebi admitted that they would have to “think about business” should such an offer come in.
A former Chelsea youngster, Tore was born in Germany but decided to commit to his country of origin and has scored six goals and provided eight assists in 29 appearances for Besiktas this season.
However, it does remain to be seen if the owners would be willing to get their chequebook out for such a high fee, considering the player is only really proven in the Turkish league, and may prove a bust when it comes to the higher level of competition that West Ham want to be at.
