West Ham’s Head of Medical and Sports Science Stijn Vandenbroucke has revealed that forward Andy Carroll has recovered from his latest injury, and, therefore, will be available for selection ahead of Saturday’s trip to Southampton.
Vandenbroucke confirmed the injury news via the club’s official website.
He wrote:
We will start this week with positive news! Andy Carroll is fit to play a part in Saturday’s game against Southampton.
Carroll has been out for three weeks following an injury to his hamstring which he suffered in the away fixture against Bournemouth. The Geordie striker has only started seven league games this season, scoring three times.

Vandenbroucke also said that Angelo Ogbonna could feature again on Saturday, after missing the Aston Villa game through illness.
Angelo Ogbonna missed the game against Aston Villa through illness. We hope to recover him in time for the Southampton game.
Finally, January signing Emmanuel Emenike will be available having obtained his work permit, however, fellow new signing Sam Byram has suffered a small injury in training that will rule him out of the squad that travels to the South-Coast.
The Hammers will hope to build on Tuesday’s home win as they travel to the St-Mary’s in this Saturday’s Premier-League clash.
