Reports this week suggest that Manchester United are keeping tabs on Hammers star left-back Aaron Cresswell.
According to Michael Butler at The Guardian, United boss Louis van Gaal has sent scouts to watch last year’s Hammer of the Year, as he looks for a replacement for injured Luke Shaw.
The Manchester United and England left-back suffered a broken leg following a horror challenge in the club’s Champions League tie with PSV last week.
Aaron Cresswell signed for the Hammers in 2014 from Ipswich Town for a fee of £4m, he went on to play in every minute of West Ham’s Premier League campaign last season. He signed a new five-year contract this summer with an option to extend his stay a further season to keep him at the club until 2020.
25 year-old Cresswell was also crowned last season as the players’ player of the year, scoring 2 goals and bagging 4 assists.
