West Ham United could be close to the signing of Manchester United striker Javier Hernandez, with Turkish side Fenerbahce understood to be the other team seeking a deal for Chicharito.
The Hammers’ interest in the Mexican international has been established, but Italian Sky Sport journalist Gianluca Di Marzio reported on Twitter that a deal may be imminent:
#Chicharito: @whufc_official is meeting with is agent and trying to close the deal. @Fenerbahce in the race too. #WHUFC

Di Marzio has also reported on his own site that an offer has been made for £10 million, and Hernandez has been offered a contract worth £67,000-a-week plus performance-based bonuses.
He goes on to confirm that it appears as if Hernandez will remain in England, and he “is ready to say goodbye to Manchester to start over from London.”
Chicharito, who has scored 37 Premier League goals and 22 goals in cup competitions in his time at Old Trafford, spent last season on loan at Real Madrid, and has made three substitute appearances for the Red Devils so far this season. Still only 27, he has already scored 40 goals for his country in 74 appearances, though he missed the recent CONCACAF Gold Cup with a collarbone injury.
Di Marzio also confirms that Bundesliga side Bayer Leverkusen as also interested in the Mexican in a £12m deal, as were Tottenham who have now pulled out of the running.
And @bayer04fussball is ready to offer 12 milion pounds for #Chicharito to @ManUtd. Let’s see who’ll win the race for the striker.
