West Ham United have seen efforts to sign FC Midtjylland player Pione Sisto rejected by the player, after agreeing a deal with the Danish club to sign the Ugandan-born midfielder, according to Ekstra Bladet.
He allegedly doesn’t feel he’s ready for the Premier League just yet, and wants to stay where he is.
The Danish club had previously accepted a bid of £4.9m from the Hammers for the young forward, and Slaven Bilic was keen on making the youth international one of his final signings of the window, but now they have work to do in order to convince him that a move to England is the right one.

However, the Danish source understands that the Hammers and another unnamed Premier League club are trying to persuade him to make the move to England.
Whether that could be done remains to be seen, but improving on the five-year deal worth £23,000-a-week could force a change of heart from the 20-year-old attacker.
Sisto has previously been linked with moves to Ajax, Arsenal, Juventus, Porto and Barcelona, but nothing ever came of those rumours, meaning he could be at Upton Park by Tuesday evening. However, if he’s adamant he wants to stay at Midtjylland, then the club could have some issue persuading him to complete a move to London.
