West Ham have had a formal bid rejected for Nottingham Forest winger Michail Antonio according to BBC East Midlands Sports Editor Natalie Jackson.
The deal is understood to be worth £4m plus Matt Jarvis going in the opposite direction on loan, West Ham’s attempt at softening the blow of Antonio departing Forest while they have a transfer embargo.

West Ham are prepared to foot the bill and still pay Matt Jarvis all of his wages while on loan at Nottingham Forest, but it is understood that Nottingham Forest think that the valuation is to low and are set to reject the bid.
I understand @whufc_official have made a formal bid of around 4m + Matt Jarvis (wages covered for a season long loan) for Antonio. #nffc 1/1

I also understand the bid will be rejected and it is no where near the clubs valuation for Antonio #nffc 2/2

Michail Antonio has already scored once this season after the two games in the Championship after scoring 14 goals in 46 games in the previous season and is a key player for Nottingham Forest thanks to his power in the wide areas.
Derby County have also made enquiries for the Championship star.
