The fact that Serie A club Roma have brought in the likes of Iago Falque and Mohamed Salah this summer has many pondering the future of Juan Iturbe. The Argentinian winger is a highly rated prospect who joined the Italians last summer for nearly £18 million.
However, Roma’s number seven appears to have been somewhat forgotten by his club, and it’s put both Everton and West Ham on high alert, according to La Gazzetta dello Sport. The two English clubs are prepared to battle each other for Iturbe’s signature. Roberto Martinez is reportedly willing to splash £13.2 million on the youngster while the Hammers are offering up just £11 million.
Will a bidding war ensue? It doesn’t seem sensible for Roma to be willing to let the young winger go for anything less than what they purchased him for. Iturbe did join only a year ago, so it would certainly take a lot for them to sell. However, it looks as though both West Ham and Everton are looking to break the bank for the Argentinian.
