There were rumours previously that West Ham United wanted to trust Andy Carroll this season, instead of bringing in a new striker such as Javier Hernandez. However, they’ll have to wait a little longer, after The Daily Mirror reported that the ex-Liverpool striker has extended his period of injury by another 7-10 days, after he rolled his ankle putting on a pair of trainers.
How he managed to pull off the bizarre feat remains unclear, but West Ham have come out to say it isn’t serious, and they’re hopeful he could still be back by the end of the international break in September.
The 26-year-old came out to quell worries over his future however, re-affirming what West Ham said about his situation, and confirming it won’t be long before he’s back in his own Fantasy Team.
It won’t be too long before I’m back in my own dream team!! Counting the days!!! ⚽️⚽️

Carroll has been out injured for over six months now, with that MCL injury he picked up in February, which put an end to one of his more prolific West Ham seasons, having scored five in 14 since his last injury layoff.
With his return on the horizon, La Liga side Sevilla have made a shock loan bid to sign Carroll for the season, but the Hammers have declined.
