West Ham United are offering Everton some competition for the signature of Inter Milan captain Andrea Ranocchia, according to Sport Witness.
Following Roberto Mancini’s arrival at the Serie A club, Ranocchia has been surplus to requirements. The ex-Manchester City boss is keen on bringing in his own defence, hence the possible departure of the current captain.
With the end of the transfer window closing in, a deal could be struck for Ranocchia to arrive in the Premier League with both Everton and the Hammers linked.
Whilst Everton’s John Stones is being linked with a move to Chelsea, despite Everton rejecting numerous bids for the Englishman, Tutto Mercato Web suggest that Ranocchia could be brought in as a potential replacement for the Toffees.
West Ham have already been linked with a move for the Italian but have since brought in Angelo Ogbonna from Serie A champions Juventus, which could benefit the Merseyside club in the chase for the Serie A captain.
