West Ham have cooled their reported interest in Hull City midfielder Tom Huddlestone, according to the Daily Mail. The Hammers have been interested in the former Spurs man for a number of weeks, and the two clubs even held early discussions at one stage.
However, Irons boss Slaven Bilic has had a change of heart and has decided to look elsewhere for a potential midfielder, before the end of the transfer window.
Interest from the East London club could still be revived, but as it stands, any potential move for the England international is off the cards from a West Ham point of view.
The 28-year-old has started in all of Hull City’s opening three Championship matches this season, and the Tigers’ boss Steve Bruce said he would be ‘powerless‘ if West Ham came in for the midfielder.
Huddlestone joined Hull in August 2013 from Spurs, and has been capped by the England senior team on four occasions.
Hull’s next Championship game is against Fulham on Friday, where Huddlestone is expected to keep his spot in the starting eleven.
