Queens Park Rangers goalkeeper Rob Green has spoken to his friends of his wishes to return to West Ham United this summer – and he’s confident a deal can go through before the deadline, according to Tom Collomosse of the London Evening Standard.
The England international is eager to return to the Premier League and provide competition for current Hammers number 1 Adrian. Having already turned down a move to Chelsea this summer it is clear that Green wants to be somewhere where he has a chance of playing regular football.
He last played Premier League football for West Ham in 2011, when they were relegated. He then spent an entire season in the Championship, earning promotion back to the Premier League, before leaving to QPR upon the expiry of his contract.
Now 35, the talented goalkeeper will be mindful that Euro 2016 is round the corner and will want to be pushing for a place in Roy Hodgson’s squad for the tournament.

Joe Hart’s obvious claim to England’s number 1 spot means that he’ll likely only be a substitute goalkeeper at best, but being in the Premier League alongside his competitors such as John Ruddy and Norwich and Jack Butland of Stoke will benefit him much more than a season in the Championship with QPR.
