West Ham United hold no remaining interest in signing Alex Song from Barcelona this summer, according to Sport. The Cameroonian had been linked with a move back to Upton Park after spending last season on loan in London, but despite that no offers have been made and The Hammers aren’t likely to be the first ones to make one.
Sport name Song as one of a number of players Barca are trying to ship out before the end of the transfer window, but the midfielder had seemed most likely to move back to West Ham to join Slaven Bilic’s side, but with no offer forthcoming they could find it difficult to find a suitor for the ex-Arsenal man.

The paper also says that West Ham aren’t even interested in bringing the midfielder in on a second loan deal, despite his successes last year, indicating Bilic is looking elsewhere for his midfield men. Manchester City and Chelsea had both also been linked with a move for Song, but neither followed through.

Song played 28 games in the Premier League in Sam Allardyce’s final year in charge, failing to score, and now likely has no chance of returning to The Hammers under a new manager.
