West Ham fans have been officially named as the quietest in the Premier League, based on the 2014/15 season. Courtesy of the Independent Hearing Professionals, the Hammers faithful were not any louder than the other nineteen top tier clubs last campaign.
Fellow claret and blue side Aston Villa were named the joint quietest side with the East London club, with the noise levels averaging a mere 152 decibels.
At the opposing end of the spectrum, Manchester United fans were named the loudest in the league, at an unbeatable decibel level of 167, which is expected due to their large stadium capacity at Old Trafford.
The data may perhaps spur the Boleyn Ground fans to be in full voice for the upcoming campaign, especially as it is the last season at the ground before the move to the Olympic Stadium in Stratford.
