West Ham United have made a new offer for Manchester United forward Javier Hernandez, reports The Metro newspaper. The East London club have put in a bid of £11.9million for the Mexican striker, who is not in the Red Devils’ first team plans.
El Mundo Deportivo claim that Louis van Gaal will be tempted to let the 27-year-old depart Old Trafford for this amount of money. Hernandez was loaned out to La Liga side Real Madrid for the 2014/15 campaign, and scored nine goals in 33 appearances in all competitions.
It is hoped by many of the Boleyn Ground faithful that Hernandez will continue his footballing career in the Premier League at Upton Park. He would provide decent cover for the recently injured Enner Valencia, who faces a lengthy spell on the sidelines.
Hernandez would become just the third Mexican to have ever worn the shirt of claret and blue, and his fellow countryman Raul Jimenez could be set to sign too.
