West Ham United are set to make an improved offer for Manchester United striker Javier Hernandez, reports Spanish media outlet Todo Mercado Web. The Hammers are trying to sign at least one striker before the summer transfer window shuts in less than five weeks’ time.
Slaven Bilic recently saw an offer for the Mexican rejected by the Red Devils, but will now rival Tottenham in an attempt to bring the forward to the Boleyn Ground. The 27-year-old is currently out of favour at Old Trafford, which saw him move on loan to Real Madrid for the 2014/15 campaign where he was used mainly as a reserve player.
However, Mauricio Pochettino is reportedly going to make a ‘substantial offer’ for the man who has won multiple Premier League titles, according to Fichajes.
Hernandez has an extremely impressive goal scoring ratio, with 40 goals in 74 games for the Mexican national team. He scored nine goals last season whilst at the Bernabeu.
