West Ham are interested in signing Atletico Madrid striker Raul Jimenez, according to ESPN FC. The forward is being looked at by manager Slaven Bilic with a loan move in mind.
Gimenez was signed by the La Liga outfit last summer from Club America, and now the capital city side could be willing to let him leave in order to gain some valuable first team experience.
The Mexican scored just one goal during the Spanish league campaign in the 2014/15 season, but was on the score-sheet twice at the recent Copa America tournament in Chile. At 24 years of age, this could be the striker’s best season of his career as he looks to improve on his goal scoring tally.
He would boost Bilic’s attacking options, with Andy Carroll and Enner Valencia currently suffering from injury problems. A loan deal for the international would be a fantastic coup if he was to make the move to Upton Park.
