West Ham have reportedly come to an agreement ‘in principle’ for the signing of Caen midfielder N’Golo Kante, according to Hat Trick FR.
Earlier in the week, Kante was said to be missing training with the French top tier club, and now the 24-year-old looks set to be another new arrival at Upton Park this summer. It has also been reported that the Hammers will have to pay just over £7million in order to land the defensively-minded player’s services.
Kante possesses fantastic stamina, and having joined Caen in 2013, he helped them achieve promotion to Ligue 1. He is able to represent both France and Mali at international level, but has no national caps for either team.
There is still lots to be done with regards to the transfer of Kante though, as the fee itself is yet to be agreed, and the process of bringing the player to the Boleyn Ground is something manager Slaven Bilic is not aware of.
