West Ham defender Reece Burke is willing to be loaned out this season, according to Dave Evans of London 24.
The 18-year-old first came onto the radar when previous Irons manager Sam Allardyce brought him into the first team towards the business end of last season, in which he conceded just one goal in his first three Premier League games.
He was later crowned West Ham Young Player of the Year for the 2014/15 campaign, and the centre-back wants to keep on starting matches.
Burke was down to earth when speaking on his potential opportunities for the upcoming season: ‘Obviously if you bring in players like Angelo Ogbonna, you are going to expect them to play.’
The England U19 international then added: ‘Maybe I will be looking for a loan to play football elsewhere. Hopefully in the Championship, but maybe in League One. I want to keep as near as I can to playing in the Premier League.‘
He also felt he did well when he was given the chance to play at Upton Park: ‘I thought I did alright when I got my opportunity. I played five games, not just one or two, which meant that I did okay I think. So hopefully, I can get more games, if not for West Ham, then out on loan.’
