West Ham trialist Marko Livaja could be set to sign a professional contract with the club, according to the Daily Mail. The striker, who has been training with the Hammers, was given permission by Russian outfit Rubin Kazan to link up with the squad.
Following the severe need to sign a forward at Upton Park, Slaven Bilic may look to sign his fellow countryman on a permanent basis. The 21-year-old was first invited to the Boleyn Ground last week, and now the Croatian U21 could sign on the dotted line.
Livaja was signed by Rubin Kazan from Inter Milan last summer, but has failed to make an impact and did not score a goal all season. Bilic will be hoping to resurrect the youngster’s career and give him the confidence required to find the back of the net again. He scored four goals in six Europa League games as a 19-year-old in 2012.
