West Ham are today preparing a fresh bid for Everton winger Kevin Mirallas, according to The Telegraph. It shows a statement of real intent by Slaven Bilic as he continues persisting with negotiations.
The Hammers initial £6m bid was knocked back last week as The Toffees look to hold out for a fee in the region of £8m. Mirallas has scored 28 goals since making the move to Goodison Park in 2012.
The 27 year-old Belgium winger has a year left on his contract at Everton as West Ham look to tie-up a replacement for Stewart Downing, who re-joined Middlesbrough last week. The £7m fee for Downing may have freed up funds to support an increased deal for Mirallas.
Premier League rivals Tottenham have also been alerted to the Belgian’s situation, but interest has reportedly cooled in recent weeks. Kevin Mirallas scored 7 goals with 1 assist and created 18 chances in 29 Premier League appearances for Everton, during the 2014/15 campaign.
