West Ham are today being linked with a surprise move for Inter Milan defender Andrea Ranocchia.
TMW suggest that Slaven Bilic wants to bring the Italian international defender to Upton Park to play alongside his international team-mate Angelo Ogbonna at the heart of the defence.
The centre-back signed a new contract earlier this summer, making it even more surprising that the Serie A side would be considering selling their club captain.
Crystal Palace are also said to be interested in the 27-year-old, who’s place in the Inter Milan team is under serious threat following the signings of Jeison Murillo and Miranda from Granada and Atletico Madrid respectively.
West Ham already have four first-team centre-backs at the club – James Tomkins, Winston Reid, James Collins and new signing Angelo Ogbonna, as well as three capable development squad players in Doneil Henry, Reece Burke and Reece Oxford, so our interest in Ranocchia is questionable unless one or more are leaving.
